- Prof. Halimin Herjanto, Ph. D. (McKendree University, USA)
Halimin Herjanto is an assistant professor of marketing at McKendree University, Illinois, USA. His current research interests include emotions, personal value and virtue, tourism behaviors, online behaviors, digital piracy and social network sites. Some of his research have been published in Journal of Hospitality Marketing & Management, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, International Review of Retail, Distribution and Consumer Research, Journal of Information, Communication, Journal of Internet Commerce, The Marketing Review, Communication and Ethics in Society, Asian Journal of Business Research and Journal of Services Research. In addition, his research has been presented at the American Marketing Association, Academic of Marketing Science, SERVSIG International Research Conference, Marketing in Asia Group, Australia and New Zealand Marketing Academy Conference. Prior to his academic career, Halimin had more than 15 year’s business experience in various industries.
- Dr. Jashim Khan (Surrey International Institute – DUFE – University of Surrey, UK and Dong Bei University of Finance and Economics, China)
Jashim Khan interests are wide, but broadly in the area of marketing and consumer behaviour. His research interests are experimental consumer behaviour and consumption in new digital environment especially in how mobile internet influences consumption and informs marketing education. He participates a lot in international seminars and conferences. As an academician, he is passionate about teaching and his style reflects student cantered learning and blended teaching approach. He likes to facilitate learning process and empower students to participate in and accept responsibility of their own. In his leisure time, he enjoys hiking/ trekking and loves camping with friends, and family. Reading archaeology related magazines, history, autobiographies and traveling books is also one of the activities he enjoys a lot.
- Prof. Evan Lau, Ph. D. (Universiti Malaysia Sarawak)
Evan Lau is a well-trained Universiti Putra Malaysia graduate with vast experience and research excellence covering the areas of International Economics with numerous applications of econometrics techniques. Recently he ventured into socioeconomic discipline including Economics of Crime and Suicide. He joined Faculty of Economics and Business Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) in 2005 soon after completing his Ph.D in 2004. He has served as a senior lecturer since 2008 and the Managing Editor of International Journal of Business and Society (IJBS), an internationally refereed journal indexed in SCOPUS bibliographic database, Malaysian Citation Centre (MCC), ProQuest publisher, Ulrich’s Periodicals Directory, Cabell’s Directories (Economics, Finance and Management) and EBSCO Host Publishing. So far he has published 75 journal articles, in which 15 were in the Thomson ISI list. His excellence in research has brought him towards several award winnings, like 3 times recipients of Young Researcher Award in UNIMAS; 2 times recipients Excellent Service Award, numerous research medals from several Research Expo (UNIMAS and UPM), best papers from several conferences and Highest Impact Journal Paper Award (Social Science Cluster) for UNIMAS from 2005 – 2013. In recent, Evan Lau has presented 89 research papers in local and international conferences around the world.
- Prof. Pratapsingh Chauhan, Ph.D. (Saurashtra University, India)
Pratapsingh Chauhan is a Vice Chancellor at Saurashtra University, Rajkot. He works as a resource person in various institutions. His interests of research are financial management and accounting. In addition, he is also very active participating in a lot of international seminars and conferences. Twenty five research papers have been published in different reputed journals related to Management and Commerce. So it’s not so surprising that some of his papers were awarded as the Best Paper award in International Conference on Finance & Accounting, organized by Research and Development, Association, Jaipur in 2010 and on Measurement of Shareholder Value Creation organized by International Conference on “Business, Economics, Management and Behavioral Sciences” (ICBEMBS’2012), Planetary Scientific Research Centre, Dubai on January 7-8, 2012. He has also published 11 books since 1998. Some of them are Productivity Accounting (1998), Case Pedagogy in Management (2003), Accounting for Managers (2007), Financial Statement Analysis and Valuation (2009), Financial Management (2010), Company Law (2013) and UGC NET SLET in Management (2013).
- Dr. Felix Pasila M. Sc. (Petra Christian University)
Felix Pasila holds a PhD in Applied Robotics from the University of Bologna (Italy) in 2013 with specialization in the area of artificial intelligence. Besides his role as a lecturer of Faculty of Electrical Engineering , he is also the Head of Research Office and Head of Intellectual Property Office in Petra Christian University. He is keen to develop his understanding on artificial intelligence technology by doing several applied researches and startup projects funded by government and investors respectively. In addition, he is a co-founder Estinnovation Society for researchers in the area of applied engineering and active in the editorial board of Journals as well as joining several IEEE Society, such as IEEE Young Professionals, IEEE Communications Society, IEEE Robotics & Automation Society, IEEE Computational Intelligence Society.
- Dr. Jati Kasuma Ali (Universiti Teknologi Mara Sarawak Campus)
Dr. Jati Kasuma Ali obtained his first degree in Bachelor of Social Sciences (International Studies) Hons and one of the students in the pioneer batch of faculties at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). He later pursued his postgraduate studies at Graduate School, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Kedah, Malaysia. He received his Master of Science (Management) in 1999 and completed his PhD Management (Mention Très Honorable Avec félicitations) from Ecole Doctorate de Sciences de Gestion, Institute’d’ Administration des Entreprises, Universite de Toulouse 1 Capitole, Toulouse, France. Presently, he is a Senior Lecturer at Faculty of Business Management, Universiti Teknologi Mara Sarawak Campus. Currently he is holding a position as TUNAS MEKAR Coordinator @ Entrepreneurship program at the university. His main research interests are Social Entrepreneurship, Consumer Behaviour, Brand Loyalty, organizational behaviour and Islamic leadership related area. He has published numerous research articles under his belt which he wrote and co-authored for several international refereed and index journals as well as sharing his research findings at numerous conferences and seminar all over the world. Before joining the university, he had several years of industrial experience in the banking, tourism and telecommunication industry in Penang, Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, Malaysia.
